At the base of Ocean City's Boardwalk, we visited Jolly Roger at the Pier, a small but attraction packed park. That being said, the boardwalk itself is an action packed attraction! With the beautiful beach on one side and a 3 mile line of quirky beach shops, food for all walks of life, several arcades and 2 small theme parks there are full days or nights of fun in the sun... or moon light.
The Jolly Roger at the Pier main entrance is under the always uniquely built Ripley's Believe It or Not! The large shark coming out of the building occasionally comes "alive" and thrashes in and out of the building (looking only slightly more suggestive than that last sentence). The Ripley's has many of the same gags and exhibits as the others but also with beach and tropical theme. We were actually a little surprised with how much more graphic this location was than some of the others (especially the torture chambers... eek!) And I must give an honorable mention to the farting bathrooms. If you have the time and extra cash check it out (but only after you see and do everything you want to catch at the parks).
MONEY SAVING TIP: Grab the coupon saver books from your hotel or restaurant for $1-2 off admission. (Even those these babies are printed in the masses, you've gotta have the coupon in person for the savings).
